Sue England will be drawing up next year’s rota for the High Altar Flowers. You may have noticed that there are vacancies some of the weeks, if anyone is able to provide flowers on one of those weeks it would be much appreciated. So that people can be reminded that it is their turn to do the flowers, Sue would like to be able to message them prior to the Sunday in question. The crafters have already begun making things to put in the Christmas Boxes and we would be very grateful for items for the boxes. If you would like to fill a box personally, great but if you would like to bring along thing to make up boxes that too will be good. Leaflets will appear soon with the items acceptable but in the meantime if you think you have something suitable, please bring it along. Thank you

It is hard to believe that it is already the time of year when Shirley is collecting in the boxes. She is very grateful to those who have a collection box at home and would be pleased to receive it back in church as soon as possible. Thank you. The Tutbury Arts Group and our Social and Fund-Raising Committee joined together to organise our third Murder Mystery Dinner, “ONCE UPON A MURDER”. We can report that the evening was a great success and much enjoyed by those who attended. The play was excellent and the supper delicious. This was the last of this season’s Bank Holiday Monday organ concerts, with our Organist, Roger and his friends. We are so very grateful to Roger for the time and effort he puts in to these concerts, the proceeds from which go towards the running of our beautiful church. This concert raised £350.00, a splendid result. We are grateful to the ladies who provide the delicious soups.

The Benefice Service was held at Holy Trinity Church, Anslow, led by Reverend Dave, followed by the Lunch at The Boar’s Head Hotel, Sudbury. It was good to see all three churches represented at the Service and we were pleased that a record number of people attended the lunch, 62 people sat down to a splendid lunch. The Revered Timothy was Vicar at Tutbury for 23 years until his retirement. He died in 2025 and his cremated remains were laid to rest with his parents in our churchyard. Revered Timothy willed for an inscription to be placed on the grave. At a meeting of the PCC, it was agreed that the church would arrange for the inscription, and donations have been gratefully received from the congregation. The inscription to be added to the headstone reads "and the Revd Timothy Jon Ga
