We were pleased to welcome our friends from Gavere in Belgium, who came to mark the 79th Anniversary of the death of Sergeant Charles Bull, who was born in Tutbury and some of his family still live locally. Thank you to Reverend Phyllis for a fitting commemorative service to remember and honour him. The colours were presented and wreaths were laid at the War Memorial. It was raining but that did not dampen people’s spirits when cakes were served afterwards by Martha and Josie. The group are already planning the 80th Anniversary but will
be joining us again on the 81st Anniversary.
