Act of Remembrance

Congratulations to all who took part in the Act of Remembrance last Sunday. From the parade to the shared hospitality at the end of the service and everything in between went according to plan! It was good to see the youngsters taking part, supported by their families and friends. There is a lot of planning and preparation that goes into an event such as this and many people are involved, as well as those who led the service, Jackie, Roger our organist and the choir, the readers and the children from Richard Wakefield School who led the prayers, Pete, (who led the group in the planning) the Uniformed organisations and the sides-persons, the beautiful Poppy Displays by Terry and last but by no means least there are those who move the furniture to accommodate everyone and those who prepared the grounds around the war memorial.
