Remembrance Sunday Service in the Priory Church of St Mary at 10.45am.
Seating limited to 250.
The decision has been taken by the PCC to increase the numbers allowed in church, but to request the wearing of masks.
For health and safety reasons it has been agreed by the PCC not to have the band at the Sunday Remembrance Service, but instead to offer them the opportunity of having a remembrance concert on the Friday or Saturday, prior to the Sunday Remembrance service. This year it has not been possible to organise in time, but with more notice we hope next year this will happen. This will keep everyone safe, the band can enjoy playing to an engaged audience, we can all enjoy listening to them, and as a whole, the weekend will enhance our thanks and respect paid to the fallen.
As in past years after the laying of wreaths, the uniformed organisations and those who have contacted Pete Steadman in relation to laying a wreath will have reserved seating and will be allowed into church first after the wreath laying ceremony. Everyone else will be invited to follow, please bear in mind we have a limit of 250 people in church, this includes the reserved seating. May we remind you, that because of the numbers expected we are respectfully asking you to wear a mask in church.
