Gift Aid Receipts for 2022

On behalf of our church, thank you to all those who have donated to the church either directly into the bank, by envelope, using the plate collections or online or a combination. These donations are the main source of income the church needs to meet running costs. Next year will be a real challenge with the cost-of-living crisis inevitably affecting both giving and the cost of heating & lighting a large Norman church.

For 2023, there is a limited supply of envelope sets which will be distributed, in the first place, to those who make their donations solely in this way. However, there will be spare sets and so please let me know if you would like a set for cash or cheque donations if you are a UK taxpayer and I have a signed gift aid declaration from you).

The total amount of Gift Aid reclaimed on donations received during 2022 was £3,844 (2021 £4,096) covering the period 1 October 2021 to 30 September 2022. In addition, cash donations for the tax year ended 5 April 2022, gift aid of £1,152 (2021 £595) was recovered using the Gift Aid Small Donation Scheme. These donations were mainly received by way of plate collections.

Thank you on behalf of our church

Jane Taylor
